Medium Queen Castle
The Medium Queen Castle (medium frames) can be divided into three 3-frame nucs. The bottom board provides each nuc with an entrance on separate sides and ventilation from below to help each nuc maintain temperature. (you will need an 10-frame telescoping top, sold separately). The Medium hive must be assembled and nails are included.

Easy queen production
I purchased my first medium queen castle last spring. I’m very pleased with it and purchased three more for use next year. I have used it to make queens from swarm cells, bank extra purchased queens, start nucs and make small splits for brood frames. All of these worked well.
The only issue I had is that there is no way to feed syrup. To resolve this, I used a hole saw to cut a hole in each section’s top board so that I can use pint mason jar feeders. So that the bees stay in the sections when refilling the jar, I screened the bee side with 1/8” hard wire cloth. Add nine frames, an empty super, a top cover, brood, bees, and your choice for their queen.
Watch closely, three medium frames can fill fast.
