Current News:
  • Bee pickup day: Customers that are planning to pick up their Bee Packages on May 19th in Pennsylvania, we will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only at our PA location. There will be a Bee Package installation demonstration at 11 a.m. Please feel free to stay around and pick up helpful hints on how to install a package but if you are unable to view the demonstration, refer to our Video section for a short instructional video.

  • Monthly Special: During this time of the year, supers are being added constantly to hives. We are running a special on our Super Kit which includes your choice between 8-frame or 10-frame assembled medium pine super, assembled frames and crimp wire foundation. These prices will only last through the month of May!

  • Honey Harvest: This year has provided beekeepers with a mild winter and a strong nectar flow. In some areas we have experienced early morning frost, but it has not disrupted the nectar flow that honey bees are out foraging for. Here at the Bee Farm, at our North Carolina location, we are beginning to prep for the harvest season by adding queen excluders along with honey supers. One essential product that beekeepers should consider is Natural Honey Harvest. It is a natural blend of non-toxic oils and herb extracts that provide a safe and clean way to extract your honey with a pleasant scent.

  • Jennifer Berry's queens are sold out. For those who were able to get orders in, there are going to be two shipment dates: one in late May and the other in mid June.

  • Webinar: We will be holding a webinar on May 23 with Kim Flottum. Kim Flottum will be discussing the 10 most important things (plus a few more) concerning urban beekeeping. Obviously the focus will be on urban beekeepers but there will certainly be plenty of information to be gleaned for the rural beekeepers.
