Feeding bees is how you have strong colonies. Beekeepers who want a good field force prior to the honey flow feed to stimulate brood production at lease 45 days before the flow. Beekeepers who want their bees to winter well feed in August to again stimulate brood production. This is invert Sucrose Syrup, which means about 1/2 of the sucrose (table sugar) is broken down into fructose and glucose, making it similar to honey. Sugar syrup is the best feed for your bees. Pick up is highly recommended as shipping costs are very high on such a heavy product. We sell syrup by the gallon (11.55 pounds of syrup) and have price breaks at 50 and 275 gallons. We cannot dispense syrup into anything smaller than a 5 gallon container.
