Im a guy, a dude, an unorganized slob! - and I loose so many things, that I end up buying them again and again. This tool box is a GREAT idea and saver for me. I know where the box is, and now I know where my tools are! No doubles needed here. If the slot is empty - I dont put it back in storage until the tool is back in place! GENIUS! - not to mention well made!

i just used this box to catch a swarm of bees today
i thought this thing was a swarm box. took an arial lift 30 feet up to get a swarm. straps are handy to get bees in box. . finally figured out there was no way for the bees to get in or out. does have a vent hole, so stragglers joined up to the outside hole. im going to drill a hole and put a trap door on this thing, and then the bees should be able to go in and out just like a nuc box. easy to move the captured swarm to a hive box with this.

Keeps everything together, makes it easy to go to different bee yards with all my gear. Doubles as a nuc if you need to split or transport frames of bees unexpectedly - great option to have when you need it.

Help for the organizationally-challenged beekeeper
The Merrill tool box makes going to the bee yard a simple 3 step process for me. I used to have to search for at least one item every time I worked the bees. It might be the hive tool, bee brush, frame holder, frame puller, or something else. It seemed like it was always a 15-20 minute process to get inside the electric fence. Now I just light the smoker [which hangs on the tool box], put on my bee suit, pick up the tool box and I am good to go. Highly recommended.
