This extractor is the biggest bang for your buck. Standard on this extractor is the Side Crank, a tremendous improvement to the old small crank. Clipped to the bottom of this extractor is a bottling tank. When you are extracting, the honey will drain down through a stainless steel strainer into the bottling tank attached to the bottom. The tank has handles to easily lift it on to the counter top for bottling. Comes with a lid to keep debris from falling into the tank while the honey settles. The tank is 18/10, 22-guage stainless steel with a diameter of 16". Stand available and sold seperately, #910 .
The extractor will handle 4 shallow (5 3/8"), 4 medium (6 1/4"), or two brood frames (9 1/8") each time you extract. Extractor carries a full 1-year warranty.
Please Note: Must now ship in two boxes. 88lbs and 6lbs,
This extractor is a very well made tool. I have one hive so its a perfect size for my needs. I love that its an all-in-one unit with a mesh screen between the extraction and collection sections because it takes a while for the honey to drip through the wax cappings. You can just leave the whole thing together and let it drip through overnight. Then the next day, your cappings are drained, the air bubbles are dissipated and any small particles of wax have floated to the top of the collection vessel leaving you pure, clean honey at the honey gate ready for bottling!

Well worth it! Surprised no one else has reviewed this yet.
Short version: this extractor is VERY easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.
We me mostly have kept bees for over 14 years in two states. This is our first personal extractor.
My wife and I have used this extractor three times now. Each time she keeps repeating “I LOVE that thing!”
With our twelve hives we had been using our local club’s 9 frame electric loaner extractor. Great deal but cumbersome. Our honey harvest here in Tidewater Virginia can be spotty so it was more of a challenge to get enough frames / supers ready to extract to make it worth coordinating picking up the club’s equipment.
A few weeks ago, after much research, we took the plunge and ordered this Compact Deluxe Extractor.
One very minor issue: getting the honey gate threaded into the storage tank. My wife solved it by putting the tank on its side and working the threads in that way. Once it got started correctly it went in easily.
On to the impressive details:
From capped honey out of the box to extracted comb back in the box headed back to the hive: four frames, total of 17 minutes. Most of that was looking at the frames and switching them around.
Yes, it is hand driven, but the actual spin time was perhaps 2.5 minutes total.
The six ¾” drain holes, from the extractor, work very well and the built in strainer helps tremendously. Much less fuss and mess. With the storage tank attached to the extractor there is no chance for air, foreign substances, or stray bees to get into the liquid gold.
The depth of the extractor and the tank make it easier to use spatulas to scrap the honey into the holes or off the sides. There is very little waste, and we have not had any bees die while they ‘cleaned’ it later.
The footprint of the entire system makes storage and use easy. Oh, and my wife carried it into the house by herself this evening. She was excited to get to use it again.
Now we are able to pull a few frames from some hives or just one hive and extract the honey immediately.
Great system… Thank you.
