When you've got some heavy smoking to do all day long this is the smoker for you. Just like our Brushy Mountain Smoker the diameter of this smoker is 4" but it is a full 10" tall. Protected with a wire grid. High up on the bellows is a one-way valve for air intake so hot air is not sucked out of the burning smoker.
I read the previous rating. The heat shield cage does NOT reach the top of the smoker itself. Barely reaches the top of the bellows. I thought this might be the case and bought it anyway just be advised.

Not as depicted...
The 4X10 Pro Smoker is depicted in both the photo and description as being wire cage shielded the full height of the barrel...it is not. I ordered one 6/22/11, and it is only shielded the same height as my 4X7 model leaving the top portion unshielded. I am disappointed as I ordered it because of that supposed feature. I could have bought the same thing elsewhere for less money. I am using it, and it works fine, but I wanted the added protection for my fingers. I have burned them a couple of times when reaching for the smoker while not wanting to loose sight of a queen.
