9-Frame Hand Radial Extractor w/ Honey Tank |

This unit gives you extracting, straining and bottling in one step. This extractor will extract 9 medium frames (6 1/4") or 9 shallow frames (5 3/8"). With the addition of the included set of cages you can tangentially extract 3 brood frames (9 1/8"). Extract your honey in this extractor. As the honey runs down it is strained through a stainless steel filter and stored in the attached honey tank. When you finish you detach the extractor from the tank, raise it off the floor onto something that gives you clearance to bottle. Cover with the steel tank cover. Leave it for several days to settle and the air bubbles to rise to the top and then bottle your crop. (220 lbs./18 gal. tank) Click Here for Instruction Sheet
Note: This extractor must be shipped in two boxes. One at the 96 lb. rate and one at the 65 lb. rate. Shipping will be adjusted and customer will be contacted with new total before order is shipped.  |

| All in all, this is the best value I could find. The quality of the glass like finish makes this extractor easier to clean and keep that way. The detents in the reel basket allowed the frames to slip forward out of position which could ultimately cause damage to combs. I rectified this by adding a 3/4 inch stainless screw through the bottom inner reel support at each frame location which kept the frames from tipping out of the positions. This was very easily accomplished with 3/4 x#6 stainless sheet metal screws.Although not necessary, I added a sealed flanged ball bearing where the power drive shaft intersects the motor mount to replace the simple bushing. Much smoother in operation. The baldor motor is of the highest quality. Baldor motors are used on the highest quality woodworking tools and I have worked mine hard for over 30 years in my business. The bottling tank nested below the extractor is a great idea. The only improvement that could be made on this extractor would be a metal basket and top and bottom sealed bearings but that of course would add significant cost to the unit. Adding a sealed bearing to the top shaft intersection is easily accomplished by the purchaser, as well as adding the frame support screws at the reel base. This would make the extractor reliable for many years of use and at a fantastic price. If the manufacturer would add a sealed bearing to the shaft, this would undoubtedly be the best value on a nine frame radial today. Having said that, be aware that almost all nine frame radials would also need this simple modification as most come with a simple sleeve bearing anyway. | ||

| Love this machine! Easy to crank and clean! Love that I can extract even deep frames easily. Cant stand expensive equipment setting around idle all winter. Its great for my 11 hives, but love that the honey tank with tap has helped with my strawberry wine and mead production! Great bargain with dual purposes!! | ||
