This clever design utilizes 2, 5-gallon pails as a straining and bottling unit. It will do all the honey straining most of us need to do and handle the uncapping chores and honey packing for small beekeepers. These two 5 gallon buckets have made a multi purpose piece of equipment that we can offer to you at a bargain price. You can uncap directly into the unit, cut up comb honey and allow it to drain, you can also use it to strain as much as 5 gallons of honey at a time and then use the lower pail with honey gate as a bottler. Place the lid on the unit, wait until the bubbles rise out of the filtered honey, and bottle your wonderful crop. Includes: 5 gallon pail with hole in bottom where stainless steel grate rests (beware sharp edge on grate) , 5 gallon pail that has honey gate in bottom of unit, a nylon strainer bag w/rubber band to secure to the pail, and a lid for the bottling pail.
For a small beekeeper, 2 hives, who uses the Pierco frames this is wonderful! I am a beginning beekeeper that did not want to purchase an extractor plus I did not have the room for one. This worked great for me. Easy to clean and store!

Works Great!
We use it to strain up to 5 gal. of honey at a time, and it works great. Can pour honey in the top and bottle it later from the honey gate in the bottom bucket, or replace the bottom bucket with another and keep on straining from the top.
