This Medium NUC is actually made up of 2 6 5/8" NUC bodies that hold 5 frames each. You get two unassembled Medium NUC bodies, fully assembled telescoping top, inner cover, assembled screened bottom board, and entrance reducer. nails to assemble bodies included. Frames are not included.
Nuc would have been great but inner cover arrived split and it looks like someone tried to spackle the split. Will not use this in my hive! Only a 2 because of the hassle factor of having to make my own inner cover.

Ive looked at all of the nuc kits with other companies and this one has all the features I was looking for:
1 Screened bottom board
2 Top cover with notch for upper entrance
3 Slide in board beneath bottom board for mite counts
4 Metal roof
5 Medium or western depth
Went together easily and well.
Love this hive, plan to buy more just which shipping was not so high.

Just almost nice.
The inner cover is too tight to the nuc body so an upper entrance can barely be used. You can hardly remove the mite count board it is so tightly squeezed in - certainly not without removing all the components so you can turn it upside down and wrestle it out from under the bottom board. THE ENTRANCE REDUCER IS A SOLID BLOCK OF WOOD. Assembly is fairly easy but they all dont always butt tightly against the joints, even with nailing them down tight.
