Well-made, but thickness of frame causes too much space between bottom edge of frames and top of excluder. Bees fill with burr comb which impedes passage even more. Going back to cheap and thin plastic excluders.

High quality device.
My bees get squished when I put on the plastic queen excluders, so I have made cedar shims but they fell apart. Today I got the wood bound metal excluder. The metal screen is sturdy, and is slightly offset, so the bees get extra room to wiggle as they move up. Clear wood, jointed and finished. Will put it on my biggest hive!
