This inner cover is named for one of the strongest, best men I have ever known, Kelly Goble. His design of inner cover is just like he was. Strong, Well made, and long lasting. This is the best inner cover on the market today. This year we have even made it stronger with the acquisition of a nailing machine that clamps the pieces together while it nails them. The heart of the inner cover is a piece of 3/8" plywood which is glued and nailed into a rabbeted outer rim. Fully assembled with a dado in the top rim to add an upper entrance.
I have numerous inner covers from many manufactures but Brushy Mtns stands out above all. This is THE sturdiest inner cover I have!

As a woodworker, if I made them myself, this is how I would do it. Brand X inner cover panels are recessed on both sides, violating the bee space and creating burr comb. Brand Y is spaced correctly, but the panel is masonite, which warps in the high humidity inside the beehive. Bushy Mountain inner covers are flat on the bottom side maintaining the correct bee space, and solid, non-warping plywood for the panel.
