Great beginners kit, great quality, highly recommended
This is a fantastic kit for beginners. It comes with all the essentials to get started. Ordering was easy and even when there was a mistake my fault they corrected it quickly and professionally. The support people are very pleasant and knowlegable. Ive never kept bees but I do know a thing or two about quality and the quality and woodworking of the hive is second to none who ever made these knows whats he/or she is doing. I just ordered this kit a few days ago and yesterday, it was on my doorstep. Everything was in the package and the hive and frames were already assembled. I already watched the DVD, and although its very informative, its a bit outdated. Im reading the book now and enjoying it more than the DVD. Also, after learning more, Im wishing I wouldve bought a super right away.

Exactly what I ordered
I am extremely happy with this kit. It provides everything I needed to get started. I added an additional garden hive type lid for aesthetics but the provide telescoping top looks perfect and Ill replace an pure wood top with it.
One item frame pins was backordered and Brushy Mt. contacted me immediately to let me know. They offered several options for getting around the backorder including sending multiple shipments which I selected to give me time to paint the hive.
